FAREWELL TO FATHER
A tear or two after he's dead
warlock, warrior, a passing saint
Let him lie in his self-made bed

He's not exactly all he's said
But loves to sail and loves to paint
A tear or two after he's dead

His pride gets hurt, his mind goes red
I felt his wrath nor did I faint
Let him lie in his self-made bed

I can't decode what's in his head
What wasn't is, what should be ain't
A tear or two after he's dead

Give him perfection without taint
I tried and tried but I just cain't
A tear or two after he's dead
Let him lie in his self-made bed
My father: a wonderful human being in some rspects, not so wonderful in others.
Right now he and I are not on speaking terms and I fear we never will be again. So this is goodbye, I guess. I hope my mother will have the decency to invite me to his funeral when he passes.

wonderfully sad. I hope your situation can be resolved... Great Piece!

didn't know "cain't" was actually a word!! Or I've just never seen it spelled out before... Use it all the time though!
